The Gig Economy: Exploitation or Opportunity for Independence?

The rise of the gig economy has been a double-edged sword. On one hand, it offers flexibility and independence, allowing people to take control of their work-life balance. On the other hand, it often leaves workers without benefits like health insurance, retirement plans, or paid sick leave.

The gig economy isn’t inherently bad, but it requires systemic changes to ensure fair compensation and protections for workers.

Is the gig economy empowering or exploiting workers? How can we improve conditions in this growing sector?
